Chuck Smith Salutes Veterans, their Families

For those who have borne the battle, carried the Flag, answered the call, to serve our Country. For those whose mission has been to protect freedom and liberty, to protect Americans at home and aborad, who serve through sacrifice, and selflessness- I salute.

Some served long ago, Korea, Vietnam, or the Gulf war, and some have served recently. Whether Army, Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, or Air Force, Officers or Enlisted, they are all to whom we are grateful that they were there, for us- I salute.

Some who cannot now speak, or who cannot walk, or cannot sit or stand- all Veterans who served for us, fought for us, alongside others who died for us, at a time in distant places of the world we may never go, or ever know, but they were there for the
United States of America. And I salute them.

To defend freedom, they did not fail. To keep us safe, they did not fail. Much, if not all, of what we know today would not exist, were it not for them. They did not fail. They are truly the American spirit we celebrate, and to God we glorify and lay our prayers to honor them. I salute.

For these we call Servicemen and Servicewomen, their families and love ones, Veterans. For their service, their sacrifice, for their valor, their bravery and their courage.
To them, at full attention and honor, I salute.
